How to receive the amount on your Kift
The steps depend on the business, but the Kift always stays linked to what was chosen for you.
At a partner business
Show your Kift to the business. The exact service or product appears when it is redeemed. If the Kift covers the full price, you pay nothing upfront. If it covers part of the price, you only pay the difference. If a specific location is shown, the Kift cannot be used elsewhere.
In self-service
This temporary path is used when a business has not joined KiftMe yet. Enjoy the experience or make the purchase, pay the amount due and keep the receipt. Then upload a photo or PDF from your Kift page. Once approved, the amount covered by the Kift is reimbursed to your payment method.
Why the receipt is checked
The receipt confirms that you used the intended service or bought the intended product, at the correct location when required. If it is hard to read, you may be asked to upload another one or request a review. Without a valid receipt, the amount cannot be sent to you and the person who gave the Kift is refunded.
Using your Kift, your questions
Do I have to pay anything?
At a partner business, you pay nothing if the Kift covers the full price. If it is partial, you pay the difference. In self-service, you pay for the service or purchase first, then the amount covered is reimbursed after the receipt is approved.
Where can I use my Kift?
Follow the conditions shown on its page. The Kift may be limited to a specific location, business or service. If a specific address is shown, you cannot use it elsewhere.
Do I need an account or the app?
You need to sign in or create an account to claim your Kift and track its use. However, you do not need to install the app: the link works in your browser.
How long do I have to enjoy it?
The deadline is shown on your Kift page. Use it before that date. If you choose to cancel it before using it, the amount goes back to the person who gave it to you.
Why do I sometimes need to upload a receipt?
Only in self-service, when the business has not joined KiftMe yet. The receipt confirms that the purchase or service matches the Kift before the amount covered is sent to you.
What happens after I upload the receipt?
KiftMe checks the receipt. If it is approved, the amount covered by the Kift is reimbursed to you, without exceeding the amount verified on the receipt. If it is unclear, you may be asked to try again or request a review.
