Cookie Policy

This policy describes the cookies and local storage used by KiftMe. In short: strictly necessary cookies only (sign-in, security, preferences), no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. It is used in particular to keep you signed in, secure your browsing and remember your preferences. Some information may also be kept in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), which stays on your device.

2. The cookies KiftMe uses

KiftMe only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to work, in three categories.

Authentication and session

These cookies sign you in to your account, keep your session secure and allow you to sign out. Without them, signing in is impossible.

Security

The site is protected by security services (notably Cloudflare, and an anti-bot check at sign-in). These services may set technical cookies used exclusively to protect against abuse and attacks.

Preferences

These cookies remember display choices, such as your language or, for professionals, the business currently selected in the dashboard.

These cookies are kept for limited periods proportionate to their purpose: the duration of the session or sign-in validity for authentication, and short periods for security and preferences.

3. What KiftMe does not use

  • No advertising cookies: KiftMe shows no ads and sets no tracker for advertising purposes.
  • No cross-site tracking: your browsing data is neither shared with nor sold to ad networks or data brokers.
  • No third-party audience-measurement cookies (advertising-style analytics) are set on your browser.

4. Local storage (localStorage)

To improve your experience, some non-sensitive information may be kept in your browser’s local storage - for example a draft Kift being created or display preferences. This information stays on your device and is not used to track you.

5. Consent

As the cookies described above are strictly necessary for the service to work, they do not require prior consent under the applicable regulations. If KiftMe were to introduce non-essential cookies (for example audience measurement), your consent would be collected beforehand and this policy would be updated.

6. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will however prevent you from signing in and from using the service normally.

For any question about cookies or your data: [email protected]. The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, and the publisher’s identity is set out in the Legal notice.
