Delete your account

1. Without the app: from the website#

• Open kiftme.com in a browser, on your computer or your phone.
• Sign in as usual: code sent by email, Google or Apple.
• Go to Settings → Take a break or leave → Delete my account (go there directly).
• Confirm with the code we send to your email address.

2. In the app#

Profile → Settings gear → Take a break or leave → Delete my account, then the code sent by email.

3. You can no longer sign in#

Ask for deletion here: you give your account’s email address, enter the code we send there, and your request goes to our team. It schedules the deletion within 30 days and lets you know by email; you then have 90 days to change your mind.

4. What happens next#

• For 90 days, you can change your mind: sign in again, then Cancel deletion in the same place. A reminder is sent 7 days before the end.
• After that, we erase your profile, answers, Portrait, Resonances, images, settings, messages and requests to the team.
• A Subject other people answered remains, without your name. Messages others wrote to you remain in their conversation.
• Some information is kept longer when the law requires it (for example KiftMe Plus payments, 10 years). Details are in the privacy policy.

5. If you have KiftMe Plus#

A subscription taken on the website or on Google Play stops by itself when you request deletion (you keep it until the end of the paid period). A subscription taken on the App Store must be cancelled in your iPhone settings: Apple does not let us do it for you.
