1. What is forbidden#

KIFTME LTD, publisher of KiftMe, forbids every form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of children and teenagers under 18. In particular, you may not:

  • post, share, ask for or offer sexual images, videos or texts involving a minor, including drawn or AI-generated ones;
  • sexualise a minor, through words, images or comments;
  • ask a minor for photos, or push them to reveal or undress themselves;
  • try to approach a minor to manipulate them, gain their trust for sexual purposes or lure them away from KiftMe (grooming);
  • blackmail a minor, in particular with intimate images (sextortion);
  • offer, organise or promote the trafficking or exploitation of a minor.

These rules are part of our terms of use and the KiftMe Rules. They apply everywhere: Subjects, images, answers, profiles, messages and links.

2. Age and keeping minors apart#

  • You must be at least 15 to use KiftMe. An account opened by a younger child, or with a false date of birth, is deleted.
  • From 15 to 17, Resonances and messages only connect people aged 15 to 17: these rules are enforced by our servers, not just by the display. At 18, conversations between teenagers close.
  • The profile of a person aged 15 to 17 is never public nor findable in people search.
  • KiftMe Plus is not offered to 15-17 year olds, and they do not receive our feedback requests by email.

3. What we do to prevent it#

  • Subject images and profile photos are checked by a moderation model before they are shown. At the slightest sign of sexual content involving a minor, the Subject is not published, the photo is refused, and a priority case is opened.
  • Subject texts and answers are checked too: an answer at issue is kept out of the Mirror and sent to the team.
  • Moderation tools never display these images: evidence is kept in closed storage that only designated people can open.
  • A model is never enough on its own to accuse anyone: a person on the team reviews every case.

4. How to report#

In the app: on a Subject, a profile, a message or an answer shown to you, tap “…” then “Report” and choose “A minor in danger”. This reason is reviewed before all others, is never rate-limited, and the reported Subject is set aside at once. The reported person never knows who reported them.

Without an account, or to write to us: the Help form (topic “Safety, reporting”), Settings → Assistance if you are a member, or [email protected] with the subject “Child safety”. Never send the image itself: the link to the content or the account name is enough.

Outside KiftMe: in immediate danger, call 112 (Europe) or 911 (United States). You can also report child sexual abuse material in France to PHAROS, in the United Kingdom to the Internet Watch Foundation, in the United States to the NCMEC CyberTipline.

5. What we do when abuse is reported or detected#

  • The content is removed or quarantined at once: nobody can see it any more.
  • A designated person on the team reviews the case with absolute priority, aiming to handle it within 24 hours.
  • If abuse is confirmed, the account is suspended, then its permanent closure is decided by a person. The person concerned is not told about an investigation.
  • Evidence is kept securely and is not erased, even if the account asks to be deleted, for as long as the law requires.
  • We report the content to the relevant authorities where the law requires it: in France, to PHAROS; in the United States, to NCMEC where US law applies; and we cooperate with authorities on lawful request.
  • If the report was a mistake, the case is closed and the evidence deleted.

6. Complying with the law#

KiftMe complies with the child protection laws that apply in the countries where the service is offered, including the obligations to remove and report child sexual abuse material. These standards are reviewed when the law or the product changes; the date at the top of the page shows the version in force.

7. Child safety contact#

The person in charge of child safety at KiftMe is Afdal, reachable at [email protected], for any question about these standards or the safety of children on KiftMe, including from an authority. You can also write to [email protected] with the subject “Child safety”: these messages are passed on to that person first.
